Ensuring your websites are safe from unauthorised access is vital to us. Google has recently announced that from July its Chrome web browser will flag every site that doesn’t use HTTPS encryption.
HTTPS means encryption protects the channel between your browser and the website, ensures no one in the middle can tamper with the traffic or spy on what you’re doing. Previously Google started marking sites that had data entry fields (Forms, Passwords, Credit Cards) as insecure if they didn’t have a Secure certificate. With this upcoming update, EVERY site that isn’t HTTPS will be flagged as ‘not secure,’ whether it includes input fields or not.
