19-Mar Preparing for Covid-19

Mar 18, 2020

In the past week, the potential that one of your team (or your entire office) may face isolation has dramatically increased. There is also the possibility of school and childcare facility closures resulting in staff needing to remain home to watch their children.

With the potential business impact and evolving government response to Covid-19, Yorb is adapting our contingency planning to support you, while remaining focused on keeping people safe.

If you require advice, guidance or support, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Client Manager or Client Support Team on 0800 600 606.

Our continued care for you.

Financial well being

Generating invoices and statements, paying staff and bills must carry on as normal. Accessing these systems securely from any location will be highly dependent on the systems you use. If you find gaps in completing these processes while working remotely or through your testing, simply contact your Client Manager and we will arrange to have one of our team work through a number of practical solutions which are readily available and can be deployed quickly.

Yorb recognises that the effect this pandemic will have on business is going to vary considerably. If you foresee any challenges or seek specialised care during this event, please talk with your Client Manager so we can understand your situation and discuss tailored options to help.

Workloads and Projects

Its business as usual for Yorb. The impact that Covid-19 is having on businesses has meant we have seen a spike of enquiries for additional devices, support to ensure staff can work remotely, or assistance with delivering business continuity plans. Our Support Centre and project delivery teams are continuing to manage your requests and projects, and process those in a timely manner. Clients Managers will continue to discuss with you agreed technology roadmaps and scheduling of proposed projects. As mentioned before, supply of hardware is constrained - where this affects delivery, we will be in touch directly to discuss options and keep you informed.

Free Training! Utilise the tools you have

Cloud applications, mobility and remote access are now coming into their own and for many, will be the catalyst that ensures businesses can ride out the turbulent times. Many of you have a suite of collaboration tools that are either underutilised, or you are now extending their use to staff that have not previously been trained. We are in the process of finalising a series of online training sessions focusing on the communication features of Office 365. Be it a refresher for those already using the tools, or those of you adopting remote communications for the first time, Teams Video calling, Chat and Voice calling will be featured.

If you are interested in a free, one-hour session, please register your interest here.

What you can expect from us

We will be issuing further guidance over the next few days regarding how we intend to keep our teams safe while continuing to support you. This will include a range of measures including new equipment cleaning best practices as well as what our team will do if onsite work is required.

We will also be contacting many clients directly to ensure you are confident in your own systems ability to cope. Our priority remains keeping people safe, while ensuring our clients can continue to work with minimal disruption. Your Client Manager will be in contact to make sure we are doing all we can for you and to get an understanding of your preparedness.
